Bethune University In Daytona Beach
Achieves 30% Savings

When the original water chilling equipment was installed, the system was set to perform an automatic system shut down when the chiller reached a certain minimum load. The campus engineers were unaware of this setting.

The Eniscope revealed that when the call for cold air across the campus was minimal, usually in the late night and the early hours of the morning, the system was actually shutting itself down and then restarting a few hours later. This caused a massive energy spike at each start up and undue wear and tear on the 30 and 50 hp pumps being used to move the cold water from one building to the next.

This information was brought to the attention of campus engineers. In turn they were then able to work with the chiller equipment service company to tweak the equipment settings and avoid the late night shut downs and subsequent full system start ups. This generated savings of over 30% per month in that building alone, and extended the life of the equipment.

1,417 Circuits Metered At
Lima Airport In Peru

Technical support was provided for IBM Smart Energy Management Services (SEMS), to demonstrate the power of the Eniscope, focusing on the chiller systems. With 22% energy savings immediately identified after a fast, seamless installation, the management decided to proceed with a full rollout. Eniscope is now used to monitor 1,417 circuits across the airport, feeding information back to the energy management team. They provide energy management as an on-going service and, with minute-by-minute information at their finger tips, they can continually identify energy saving opportunities across the huge facility.

KFC South Africa Saves
24% On Energy Costs

Working with Moral Foods, a local franchisee of KFC. In a short space of time, they have generated impressive savings for two pilot stores. Moral Food’s owner, Mr. Rughubeer, contacted the team after hearing about the savings the company had achieved for another local business.

A full site audit was performed and set about installing a state-of-the-art, real-time energy monitoring solution, Eniscope. The data collected allowed the team to perform a detailed analysis of the energy consumption within those stores, allowing for no-cost or low-cost savings to be identified and presented to Mr. Rughubeer.

At an equipment level, on-site chillers were fitted with timers and thermostats, eliminating the wasteful legacy system that relied on pressure pads. LED lighting was retro-fitted throughout each store, front and back, including signage.
